About The Position
Spieker Point is seeking to add a talented junior software developer onto our staff in our Edmonton office. In this role, you will be working on our development team to:
- Deliver world-class software products to our customers
- Extend our DECK DecisionWare product at the core, and with the new modules we provide
- Learn A LOT
About You
You have the following going for you:
- You’re a new grad of Computing Science
- You can work well in a team environment
- You’re able to quickly learn from your peers
- You’re able to articulate your thoughts well
- You have a background in Java
- You’ve worked in Eclipse
- You can work in an Agile software environment
- You know the software game is a never-ending learning experience, and you’re “all in” with that
It would be nice if you have experience with:
- Tomcat
- MySQL and other database technologies
- Grails
- Message Queues
- Apache Kafka or similar
- Decoupled software enviornment
- Mobile app development
